FARUK (25 yrs) our ‘bodyguard’, escorting and ‘protecting’ us in our walks. He was abandoned in a cemetery and was helped by a government institution. Ali took him to live with us three years ago.

ISMAIL (11 yrs) otherwise called ‘Ronaldinho’, slightly autistic, and cerebral palsy, before he came to live with us he couldn't speak, walk and eat properly! After three years with us he is the 'WONDER BOY' of Bhola! 

ROZINA (15 yrs) blind from birth came to live with us at 13 after been abandoned by her family. At the beginning she was lost and very uncertain of the world around. Now she is the most beautiful, smiling, cheerful teenager.

RABIA (15 yrs) a most beautiful dancer, deaf and dumb! She was beaten regularly and abandoned at 12 yrs old. The first time Jose’ and I went to Bhola, she was very angry, aggressive and sad.

MONIRA (23 yrs) a most beautiful, stunning, very gifted deaf and dumb. Ali found her in Gazipur District, North of Dhaka, when she was very small. People didn’t understand she couldn’t hear and speak and it was very frustrating for her to be accepted.

RINA (20 yrs) is one of our very young teachers coming originally from the local Government Orphanage. She couldn’t pass the final examination, Ali took her to live with us and in 2006 she managed to pass and started a higher education degree studying and working with us.
